In 1994, he emerged as a winner at an international festival in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The achievement was followed by several other awards from national and international competitions and festivals.
In 2000, after finishing school, Jakhongir was admitted to the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan to major in music sound engineering, which marked a major advance in his creative endeavours.
In 2001, he started a solo career under the stage name Jakhongir.Uz. At the same time, Jakhongir began working at a professional recording studio "Radio Records".
In 2003, Jakhongir began studying musical arrangement for radio stations, TV channels ("Yoshlar", "Dunyo bo'ylab" ) and well-known companies in Uzbekistan, such as "PayNet", "Premium Auto", Nescafé, "Ucell", "Perfectum" , " Makro Market" among others.
In 2004, he released his first solo album "Yolg’izman" (I am lonely). It consisted of Uzbek and Russian songs.
In 2006, Jakhongir launched a music TV show "Orzular Bekati" (Dream Station) that centered on Uzbek patriotic themes.
In 2010, he released his next album, "Birga Emas" (Not Together).
In August 2011, in collaboration with iHoops team, the author released his long-awaited instrumental album "Romantic Music Exclusive Collection J.Uz" on App Store. The album was very successful and earned warm and positive reviews all over the world. "Romantic Music" is constantly updated and improved.
Since 2012 Jakhongir has worked closely with UNIC Tashkent (the United Nations Information Centre Tashkent) and has participated in many events overseen by UNIC.
Jakhongir.Uz has authored many songs for Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan music stars.
